VOCATIONAL PROGRAM

We are here for Transition-Age Youth 18-24 Yrs Old.

Our 12-month curriculum is structured to evaluate and provide client-centered training and activities to counteract the statistical realities of this population. This is done through a four-phase plan that addresses employment deficits and develops soft skills.

Phase 1: First 90 Days

The first 90 days are focused on building rapport, discovering latent talents, abilities, and passions. This is also the phase where we introduce extensive training through mock interviews and work experiences on the ranch.

TimberCreek is uniquely equipped to provide resources and context for career development, including a full metal shop, a woodshop, a barn and several pieces of heavy equipment. We possess the natural and field-related resources for the Vocational Program activities.

Phase 2: Next 90 Days

Phase 2 offers participants more specialized training and unique activities that help cultivate field-related hard skills.

Phase 3: Next 90 Days

After having gained adequate skills and experience, participants begin internships with various vocational partners throughout the area. This phase provides the needed groundwork for the transition to part-time or full-time employment. Our Vocational Partners have given our participants the opportunity for specialized training that could lead to longer-term employment. These partners include:

  • Penny’s Five Star Pizza

  • DropDrop: Video Editing & Animation

  • Jim's Service Auto Repair

  • Sunset Logistics Transportation Services

  • And more!

Phase 4: Next 90 Days

The Vocational Director and Coordinator work in tandem with our vocational partners, local industries, and businesses to secure a permanent part-time or full-time position for our participants during this last phase. Participants are also required to lead, mentor and support Phase 1 participants of the Vocational Program.
